Why

This is a UX design internship at Google with strong employer quality and a paid, SF-area option, but it is design-focused rather than research, and she lacks a formal UX portfolio or prior internship. The application deadline of October 9, 2026 has already passed, and BS/MS summer internships are typically aimed at students returning to school, which conflicts with her May 2027 graduation. Her psychology background, UX/UI coursework, and Adobe skills are relevant, but the gaps and timing make this a poor practical fit. Not worth pursuing unless Google reopens the role or has a new-grad pathway.

Watch out for

• Application deadline of October 9, 2026 has already passed (today is 2026-10-12)
• Summer 2027 internships at Google typically require students to return to school after the internship; she graduates May 2027
• UX Design (not research) role typically requires a design portfolio; she has no formal UX portfolio or internship
• Posting lists many locations (Mountain View, Ann Arbor, 30+ more); SoMa SF listing is an aggregator detail
• Aggregator salary figure is a single value and may not be reliable

Resume angles

• UX/UI coursework paired with a psychology BA (Research Methods, literature review) as a human-centered design foundation
• Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator skills and art/graphic design background from Susan Street Fine Art
• Researched and synthesized visual and written material into recommendations for client decisions
